Her involvement in corporate social responsibility projects exposed her to the inner workings of NGOs and the critical needs in health, education, and social development across rural communities. These experiences weren’t just eye-opening; they became a calling. Marina became an ardent advocate for change, pouring her energy into impactful initiatives like the Imagine Scholar programme, making waves across Africa.
Marina’s knack for organizing, multitasking, and negotiating shone brightly as she tackled various projects across the continent. Whether it was launching the Active Leisure specialty store for Nike and Adidas in Nigeria or managing the prestigious SA Olive Association’s annual olive judging competition, Marina’s blend of style, quality awareness, and hands-on approach led to resounding successes.
The pandemic brought a moment of reflection for Marina, leading to an epiphany about the essence of comfort and functionality in our living spaces. This realization propelled her to dive into the world of professional organizing and home staging, further honing her skills with certifications from the International Association of Professions Career College (IAPCC) and Home Stagers South Africa.
2022 marked a new chapter with the rebranding of Live in Taste, a venture that showcases Marina’s vision of blending decluttering, home staging, and interior décor into a symphony of services. Teaming up with the esteemed interior decorator Zelda Jordaan, they’ve created a powerhouse duo set to redefine our living spaces.
